Victorian Watch Fob Pendant
Antique, English, 1880’s gold fill watch fob pendant with mother-of-pearl and gold fill chains with lobster claw clasps.
The chains and pendant of this necklace were originally part of an elaborate watch ensemble. Worn in the time when watches hung from chains that swagged across the waistcoats and dresses of the ladies and gentlemen from the Victorian era. They made a pretty sight peeping out from under coats and capes. This lovely accessory was replaced by the wrist watch, and over time has been dismantled and sold off piece by piece. Collectors now gather the pieces together and create these lovely necklaces and bracelets to remind us of a time gone by. Assembled by Marchioness.
